Item Description

A dramatic and large combination specimen from the famous Elmwood Mine. Lustrous, transparent to translucent, calcite crystals to 7.8 cm are aesthetically strewn with popcorn-like barite on the dolomite matrix. Most of the calcites are tan, but a few have the desirable gemmy, golden-amber color. Many are doubly terminated and all are included with flecks of black bitumenn. All of the primary calcites are pristine, and the scattered bruising and periphery wear are insignficant detractions to this impressive large piece. Older material from the Consie Prince Collection. 7.1 pounds or 3.2 kilos. Valued at $1000.
