A classic, old-time, Michigan calcite specimen. A 1.7 cm, lustrous, glassy, scalenohedron is very aesthetically perched on basalt matrix. Beautifully accenting the calcite and sculptural matrix are clusters of rust-red analcime crystals and a very rich dusting of sparkly, green, epidote crystals. A dramatic and excellent Copper Country calcite combo piece. Old classics like this rarely come up today. This is a superb miniature with balance and nice display qualities. Although small, the calcite is a fine quality and complexly formed.
