Item Description
A robust and impressive example of these contemporary beauties from the Huanggang Mine. This small cabinet features a highly compressed / flattened, semi-"rose"-esque group of manganese-bearing, soft pink colored Calcite measuring 4.7 cm across associated with sharp, distinct, well-formed, pale golden to colorless Quartz crystals measuring up to 3.7 cm long. The surface of the Calcite group has a beautiful reflective pearly luster. The piece glows a bright orange under fluorescent light. The piece is in good shape, though there is a open / exposed area on the Calcite group where a Quartz crystal once grew. A wonderful representation of this attractive and fine quality Calcite from this impressive specimen-producing locality.
