Item Description

Very interesting cluster of pastel pink Calcites with an unusual rice grain form. The individual crystals can be as wide as 4 mm and as long as 6mm. The piece has an appealing texture with a nice three dimensional composition especially as the Calcites wrap over the top of the matrix. The specimen is in excellent condition with only minor contacting from the matrix. Cute and charming pink Calcite with an uncommon form for this locality. Ex. Cynthia Payne Collection to Keith Williams collection. Mild red-orange fluorescence. Probably 1960s-1980s.
