Item Description

A mineralogical oddball of sharp calcite crystals pseudomorphing ikaite and called glendonite. The lustrous, orange-brown scalenohedrons, to 2.1 cm, form a striking stellate spray or are isolated crystals in the mudstone concretion matrix. These starting coming out in the early 1990s and you don"t see many around today. Striking and unsual form! Ex Russell MacFall Collection.
