This is a stunning, small cabinet specimen of saturated hot-pink, translucent to transparent Cobaltoan Calcite from Morocco. The bright magenta-pink color of this piece is absolutely amazing! The colorful crystals almost surround the entire specimen which is covered in super lustrous Cobaltoan Calcite crystal terminations that represent flattened rhombs to 1.2 cm across and with no damage! The piece has incredible translucency and the crystals are gemmy in places! A knob of granular Pyrite serves as the matrix for the Calcite. Very vibrant and colorful and it will definitely stand out in any display. Calcite with this rich, intense, neon pink color started coming out of Morocco in the mid 2000s. This is the killer color, lustrous wet look, superb form of the production at its best, with a wonderful knob of crystals, complete all around. 1980s finds.
