Item Description
A fine Cobaltoan Calcite from Morocco, this has a rich, vibrant, deep-pink color translated into an unusual hexagonal prism with a very fine, trigonal termination. At 2.6 cm, this Calcite crystals has plenty of size to really show off the vibrant color, and that is enhanced by the gemmy-to-translucent interior. The faces of the termination are highly lustrous with a gentle, scalloped texture, while the prism faces can almost sparkle with an ultra-fine, terraced/stepped surface. This is an excellent and unusual Cobaltoan Calcite that really catches the eye. Morocco has produced a small number of such fine crystals in very limited finds over the last few decades.
