Item Description
A fine quality and showy display specimen of flashy purplish-pink, scalenohedral crystals of the very desirable cobalt-bearing variety of Calcite, with crystals measuring up to 7 mm on matrix. The Aghbar mine is one of the most classic localities for the material, and it has produced some of the best specimens in the world. Unmatched color in the mineral world, and incredibly iconic for collectors. The majority of the crystals are undamaged and they are rather gemmy when backlit. From the collection of Sean Lincoln.
