Item Description
A most unusual and odd specimen from Santa Eulalia featuring reddish-brown Calcite that according to the label accompanying the piece is possibly pseudomorphing after a previous generation of Calcite(?), though I'm not 100% convinced. It might not be a pseudomorph, but rather a single generation of Calcite with iron oxide inclusions. The piece has a gentle sparkling drusy luster on the surface that shines directionally when the piece is rotated in the light. A very strange piece, unlike anything I can remember seeing from Santa Eulalia or any other locality in Mexico for that matter.
