Item Description
A striking, 5.0 cm, sharply terminated, calcite scalenohedron is jauntily set on calcite matrix with smaller crystals. The crystal is lustrous, translucent and has jasmine-yellow color. The stepped-growth sidecar calcites on the large crystal are a nifty accent. The large calcite is nearly pristine, with only trivial termination and edge wear. Calcites of this size and quality are not that common from this well-known locale in Poland. Ex Dave Stoudt Collection # 523 and acquired in Warsaw in August, 1998.
