Item Description

Calcite twins are RARE from the famous mines at Charcas, renowned for flat "poker-chip"style calcite rhombs. Highly lustrous, nearly transparent, blocky, amber calcite twins, to 3.3 cm on the diagonal, are aesthetically set on the undulating crust of sparkly, botryoidal, lavender, drusy quartz. There is more calcite on the bottom of the piece. A striking, very fine and rare large calcite combination from Charcas.
