Calcite (twins) on Limonite (ex Batic Collection)

Calcites from Concepcion del Oro are hard to find on the market now, and pieces like this are particularly prized by collectors. The wonderful thing about this one is that the quality and gemminess of the crystals is about as good as I've seen. Nearly every crystal is damage free, with only a couple small nicks here and there. The crystals are rhombic in habit, some are actually twinned with sharp, well-formed faces and wonderful internal clarity. The largest crystal measures 3.5 cm at its longest dimension. Formerly in the collection of Robert Batic with a label from Beres (Bundy) Collection as well. Valued at $900 for size, quality, aesthetics and scarcity on the market.
