Stunning pair of gorgeous lavender Calcite twins surrounded by a partial ring of small sparkling Quartz crystals for contrast. The piece has an elegant look that is simply captivating! The translucent and lustrous Calcite crystals display vertically with the twin planes seen horizontally half way up the crystal. The dominate crystal measures a robust 10.1 x 7.5 x 5.5 cm in size. The pink-lavender color is due to manganese inclusions, which also gives it a stunning deep orange-red fluorescence. The contrasting millimeter sized, glassy, clear to white Quartz crystals provide an interesting and complimentary backdrop that accentuates the beauty of the Calcite's lavender color. The piece is in excellent condition with only a couple of small nicks on close inspection. The Calcite crystal faces also have well defined striation patterns. A superb Calcite specimen that has a definite "WOW" factor that will stand out. Ex. Kurt Hefendehl collection. This is from older material, early 2000s.
