Item Description
Choice specimen of the classic, twinned Calcites from the famous Wessels Mine. The gemmy, clear crystals have excellent luster, finely striated faces, and red-orange fluorescence. The larger crystals, which range up about 3.5 cm, are all twinned, while the smaller crystals are highly modified rhombs. Each and every one brings a visual splendor and great mineralogical interest. In fact, just looking at the largest pair, one of the twins is tabular while its twin is more of a rhomb. Incredible, and aesthetic, this is one of the best of these well-known Calcites clusters that I have seen. valued $750
