Beautiful, golden-yellow, gemmy, and complex interpenetrating Calcite twins from Rudny are among the most recognizable of mineral specimens, and with good reason. The interplay between glassy, lustrous faces and those that are lightly frosted create striking visuals, especially when the crystals themselves are completely gemmy. The three-dimensionality and sheer beauty of these Calcites from the famous finds of early 1990s in Kazakhstan make these among the best Calcite specimens in the world. They have become classics for their pure color and sculptural form. Even better in person, and fairly uncommon on the market today.
