Irai has produced outstanding calcite specimens. But, this is one of the most unusual looking twinned crystals we have seen! The crystal itself is a water-clear, colorless scalenohedron. The three termination faces are remarkably and distinctively twinned and all of the crystal faces have a weird, reptilian scaly/etched look. Rare, weird and unique-looking twinned calcite from Irai.
