The famous mines of the Kalahari manganese field have produced some outstanding calcites and this is a very fine example. This adorable, classic, water-clear, heart twin has fabulous layered manganese oxide layers! Complete all-around, some of the faces on the back side have a frosted secondary calcite overgrowth. Nearly pristine. Trivial bruising is noted on one top edge and one end has contacting with a bit of matrix and a tiny bit of chatter. Extremely showy and excellent material from the Wessels Mine.
