Calcite (twin) (uncommon locality)

Item Description

A beautiful showy toenail-sized display specimen of this lesser-seen material from the Ton Mawr Quarry near Cardiff, Wales featuring a beautiful twinned group of Calcite comprising "stacked" compressed rhombic crystals of a light golden hue, sitting aesthetically on minor matrix. The Calcite crystals measure up to 2.0 cm on edge. I can't find any damage of note with the naked eye, and the piece displays beautifully from a few angles. A wonderful, eye-catching piece of these uncommon Calcites.
