An included calcite twin of this quality is rare from the famous Tri-State District. A large, blocky, complete-around, lustrous, transparent to translucent, colorless to light amber, complex calcite rhomb has a most striking scalenohedron spear twin on one face. The rhomb is included with a myriad of sparkly marcasite flecks. I really like the architecture of this stunning and rare calcite twin. Essentially pristine, with only the most trivial of termination bruising to the spear point tip. A very high quality old calcite from this historic area from the Miller Calcite Collection # 1220.
