Item Description

These beautiful, gemmy, golden-amber Kazakhstan calcites caused a major stir at all the shows, when they came out in the early 1990s. This very fine piece is dominated by the large rhomb and is strikingly flanked by the interpenetrating rhombs on one side. Most of the crystal faces are frosted, but highly unusually, lower portions of two faces on the large rhomb are water-clear! Weird chemistry here! The bit of attached matrix adds character to this pristine and excellent 360-degree specimen from the Larry Krause dealer stock. Valued at $750-900.
