Item Description
A striking calcite specimen from this well-known limestone quarry. The terminated, sharply twinned, hematite-tinted crystal is comprised of lustrous, translucent, stacked, nailhead calcite rhombs. A few trivial spots of rubbing are certainly a modest detraction to this very fine and unusual looking two-sided calcite from the Cynthia Payne Collection. Valued by the former dealer at $295.
