Item Description

A classic and colorful calcite specimen from this well-known Norway underground limestone mine. The aesthetic cluster of intergrown, lustrous, water-clear to translucent, colorless rhombs have a colorful light yellow iron oxide coating and the sharp striations add much pizzazz. You can see a myriad of tiny, sparkly pyrites or marcasites in the interor through the glass-clear faces. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. The back of the large rhomb is contacted, but has no damge, per se. The basal periphery wear on the front and back has very minimal impact to the overall high quality of this fine calcite.
