Calcite (twin)

Item Description

A classic twinned Calcite crystal from Chimney Rock (often referred to as Bound Brook) with a pleasing golden color and a satiny luster on select faces. The piece is free of matrix and is quite gemmy inside when backlit. The upper portion of the piece is undamaged, but the lower portion has some separation marks where it was removed from the pocket wall. You don't see many of these on the market, and for the size and quality of the crystals, it's a pretty good example of the material.
