In the late 1990s, a shocking pocket of these sharp V-twinned calcites came out of China, in a location we today simply call the Leiping Mine although it was known by numerous other names in the past, and comes from a region with many small mines. This is a sharp miniature with the finest clarity, sharpness, and luster on a fat twin measuring 4 cm across the tips. Sadly, it is almost a killer miniature...it presents wonderfully from a distance but is missing (damaged in pocket, or contacted) a part of the left termination, giving a slight imbalance. The break or discontinuity is not modern and fresh, but it is there. Still, a fine reference example of the high quality this pocket produced.
