Item Description

Densely intergrown variably-sized calcite scalenohedrons with striking multiple terminations form a striking large specimen from an unknown German mine. Many of the terminations have phantoms, which adds much pizzazz. The large doubly terminated crystal is 8.2 cm long. This choice piece from the Bob Trimingham Collection is essentially pristine and displays very well without aid. An underlying rind consists of sphalerite and scattered small pyrite crystals. Perhaps someone can furnish more precise locality information?
