Item Description

Mineral specimens of any species are rare from this old copper mine and this exceptional combination is extremely rare. Sharp, gray, translucent, doubly terminated, pristine calcite crystals, to 3.3 cm, with frosted faces are aesthetically scattered on the sculptural, drusy, orange, orthoclase matrix. The peppering of tan stilbite lathes to about 7 mm are a super accent to this fine rarity. A few iridescent chalcopyrites are also noted. Choice and rare combination material from the Bob Trimingham Collection and purchased from well-known geologist Demetrius Pohl in 1981.
