Calcite stalactite (old classic)

Item Description

Stalactitic cave calcites from this historic locale are a desirable classic. Slightly curved, lustrous, translucent, blocky rhombs form this sculptural specimen. Very interestingly, one-half of the stalactite has a gray tint from included iron oxides. Essentially pristine, with only very trivial termination edge wear. This showy old-timer has fine form and was probably collected prior to the 1900s. Choice material.
