Calcite "spray" with Quartz (new find)

From a new discovery in 2018. A friend of ours in Peru sent this piece up and said it came from a new small find in the Ica Department, with no actual mine name given. The piece features a "spray" of fairly sharp, defined, beige-white colored scalenohedral crystals of Calcite measuring up to 1.1 cm long which have formed a beautiful "spray" surrounding a sharp, translucent, slightly smoky colored Quartz crystal measuring 3.0 cm long. A nice combo piece and a lovely formation. A nice piece to add to a Calcite collection, a Quartz collection or a suite of Peruvian minerals.
