Item Description
A dramatic, immensely sculptural large two-sided calcite with sphalerite and barite from the renowned Elmwood Mine. Striking gemmy, very glassy, super lustrous, desirable golden-amber sharply terminated parallel-growth calcite crystals look like a fabulous jagged golden mountain range. The attached wedge of of partially barite-coated rubyjack sphalerite with the bit of barite at the base of the calcites are typical and outstanding accessories. AND - the back and sides of the calcite are totally pristine. The back of the calcite is striking in its own right. The calcite has a beautiful glow, when back lit. A highly unusual and amazingly artistic large two-sided Elmwood calcite from the R.D. Mushlitz Collection.
