A highly desirable calcite varietal from famed Tsumeb. Supremely stepped-growth, very glassy translucent flattened rhombs are dramatically intergrown to form a very sculptural small cabinet specimen. The imposing frontal rhomb is 6.8 cm. This impresssive 360-degree calcite is essentially pristine, with only trivial edge wear. Every turn presents a strikingly different perspective. Tsumeb, like Dalnegorsk is renowned for calcite diversity and quality and this is a very fine example of this varietal from the Shields Flynn Collection.
