Sceptered calcite specimens from this old Pb-Zn mining district are a US classic. A striking 4.5 cm water-clear, complex rhomb with frosted faces is dramatically perched atop a large scalenohedron covered with fantastic, dense second generation stepped-growth rhombs. The front of this very fine old-timer is pristine and the contact on the back of the large rhomb is totally out-of-sight. The phantom in the large rhomb adds super pizzazz to this fine piece.
