An outstanding, classic, old-time, complete-all-around specimen of sceptered calcite from Shullsburg, Wisconsin. The broad, colorless scalenohedron is abundantly overgrown with lustrous rhombohedral calcites in striking, parallel stair-stepped growth. The scalenohedron is capped by two, intergrown, transparent and lustrous, complex rhombohedral calcite crystals, which makes for a spectacular sceptered calcite specimen with a striking phantom. Pristine. Specimens of this quality and condition are uncommon.
