Item Description

An pristine, impressive and rare elongated nailhead calcite crystal from this noted mine. The pretty amber, 6-sided tapered crystal is transparent to translucent and has satin lustre faces. A striking 3.0 cm phantom scalenohedron is visible in the interior at the base of the crystal and the embedded purple fluorite at the bottom adds color and pizzazz. An uncommon and exceptional calcite style from the locale and the Ross Lillie Collection # 1767 and mined in October, 1989.
