Item Description

A RARE calcite scalenohedron from this obscure Utah locality. The glassy, translucent, sharply terminated, tan crystal is nicely accented with side car crystals. Complete all-around and very nearly pristine. A trivial bit of termination and edge wear is noted, but has no impact on the quality of this rarity. A contact, low on one side is noted, where another crystal once lay, but there is no damage. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and according to his label, was collected by Phil Richardson in 1989 or 1990. Modest red fluorescence.
