Item Description
Striking, vivid golden-amber, translucent dogtooth calcite crystals with frosted faces dramatically and beautifully cover the rich and very showy mounded small cabinet from the less well-known limestone quarries in the Ukraine. The crystals are up to about 3.1 cm long. The color and lustre of the crystals is unreal, it looks like the best golden amber. These came out from the Soviet Union or Former Soviet Union in the 1980s or early 1990s and are very seldom on the market today. Choice, rare and beautiful calcite from the Ukraine with mulitple display views.
