Item Description

A rare and showy style of calcite from this well-known Bisbee mine. The large, sculptural, amoeba-shaped specimen is composed of very irregular shaped, nubby, translucent, honey-brown botryoids around a matrix core. Complete all-around, nearly pristine, with only one small bruise, which is certainly only a modest detraction. This rare and excellent has 360-degree appeal and is undoubtably older material, but no proof. Modest white fluorescence. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and formerly in the well-known Miller Calcite Collection, according to Bob's label.
