Item Description
A RARE and aesthetic calcite from a very obscure locality on the northern coast of Spain. Three douby terminated, lustrous, translucent, curved iron oxide-tinted, calcite rhombs are dramatically lined up on the limestone matrix covered with much smaller rhombs. The sculptural rhombs look like smithsonites from Tsumeb or Berg Aukas, but are not! And the impresssive, large 4.0 cm rhomb is twinned! and is only very gently bruised. Very rare and outstanding calcite self-collected by Paco Gutierrez.
