Item Description
Mineral specimens from this obscure Oregon quarry are RARE and are seldom on the market. This is a striking two-sided piece of sprays of very elongated, flattened, parallel-growth calcite crystals with jagged terminations. The translucent crystals on one side have high waxy luster, while the crystals on the other side have a very nifty matte-orange, iron oxide coating. The two parallel-growth plates of crystals add extra pizzazz. In great shape, with only a bit of bruising on both ends. Exotic and rare calcite with ghostly white fluorescence. Valued by the former dealer at $250 for rarity and quality. A must for the Oregon or calcite collector.
