Item Description

Calcite specimens from this abandoned limestone quarry complex are rare and are very rarely on the market. This striking modified scalenohedron has fine amber color, waxy luster and is transparent to translucent. The pseudohexagonal crystal has a flat back and all faces have fascinating etch patterns. Undoubtably older material, but no proof. Complete all-around. A contact, lower on two sides, where another crystal once lie, has only trivial brusing.
