Calcite (RARE old Georgia)

Item Description

An excellent and EXTREMELY RARE calcite from an unknown Floyd County, Georgia locale. This sharply terminated, glassy, pale yellow scalenohedron has frosted faces. Complete all-around and in great shape, for the age. The termination is all there and has only the most trivial of scuffing. The back is contacted, where another large crystal once lay, but there is very little actual damage. Ex W.O. Connor Collection and collected prior to 1910, according to the label of respected Georgia dealer, Jendon Minerals. A MUST for the Georgia or species collector.
