Mineral specimens from this old quarry, near famed Idar-Oberstein, are RARE and are seldom available. This is an exceptional old-time large specimen of lustrous, tan, dogtooth calcite crystals filling a large vug in the basalt matrix. The gemmy, transparent to translucent crystals reach about 2.0 cm. Choice and rare large material from the Paco Gutierrez Collection. Ghostly white fluorescence.
