Item Description
A sculptural small cabinet mounded plate of tightly intergrown, glassy, translucent, flattened nailhead calcite rhombs from this extinct underground and open pit Au-Ag mine. The elevated 3.7. cm long ridge adds much character to this rich and showy piece. Pink fluorescence. Calcite is a rare accessory from this mine, that produced from 1895-1920 and again from 1991-1998. Mineral specimens of any type are rare from here. Ex Tom Wolfe Calcite Collection.
