Item Description

A really attractive and hard to find well-formed, gemmy, golden colored scalenohedral crystal of Calcite from Terlingua, Texas. If you look at the base of the crystal, you'll see a reddish tint, which is caused by Cinnabar inclusions. When backlit, the crystal shows a lovely internal "phantom". The crystal is in great shape, save the base where it was removed from the pocket wall. These are hard to find today - only seen in old collections, and if you collect worldwide Calcites, or if you like odd-ball specimens from esoteric localities, don't miss out on this one.
