Item Description

Mineral specimens of any species are RARE from this obscure Ziller Valley locale. The sharply terminated, translucent, tapered, hexagonal crystal is strikingly accented with clusters of smaller stair-stepped crystals on three sides and nifty preferential iron oxide coatings! This fascinating and rare, 360-degree calcite is pristine. Rich modest orange-red fluorescence. Probably older material, but no proof and possibly unique. A super rare calcite from the Tom Wolfe Calcite Collection and purchased at Tucson in 1976 from Ron Bentley.
