Item Description

Ghostly white LW UV fluorescence on this sculptural, 360-degree, small cabinet of gemmy calcite crystals with Quartz-like form from a limited 2020 find at this obscure locale in Malaysia. The striking piece is comprised of densely intergrown, multiple generations of crystals. The impressive large crystal on the edge is 5.7 cm long. The glassy crystals are transparent with bright satin luster faces. Preferential light iron oxide tinting to some of the crystals is a very pleasing accent to the colorless crystals. Bruising on the other edge and a spot on the back side are out-of-sight in the excellent primary frontal display. This came in a single flat of material we got, apparently brought out by a geologist into the European market in early 2021. Fascinating locality, beautiful shape, and extra bonus as a fluorescent!
