Item Description

Sculptural and pristine 360-degree vertical small cabinet pincushion studded with gemmy calcite crystals with quartz-like form from a limited 2020 find at this obscure locale in Malaysia. The dominating crystal at the crest is 3.0 cm long. The glassy crystals are transparent with bright satin luster faces. Preferential light iron oxide tinting to half of the piece is a very pleasing accent to the colorless crystals. Soft ghostly white fluorescence and excellent calcite from the locale. This came in a single flat of material we got, apparently brought out by a geologist into the European market in early 2021. Fascinating locality, beautiful shape, and extra bonus as a fluorescent!
