Calcite is RARE from any of the numerous Alaska localities listed by MINDAT and is EXTREMELY RARE from this obscure district known for placer gold and scheelite and vein gold deposits. Glassy, translucent, colorless to light tan, modified rhombs, to 1.5 cm, have frosted faces and cover the blocky matrix. A super rare and showy older Alaska calcite from the Tom Wolfe Calcite Collection. Pink fluorescence. A MUST for the species or locality collector.
