Item Description

A very showy and unusual Naica combination calcite specimen from the well-known Miller Calcite Collection # 3602. The striking, large, 2.8 cm on the diagonal calcite rhomb and nearly all of the multitude of small quartz points comprising the nest-like matrix have a sugary overgrowth of secondary calcite. Interspersed on both the front and back of the dense quartz crystal nest are iridescent pyrite pseudomorphs after elongated arsenopyrite crystals. The calcite rhomb and the drusy calcite on the quartz crystals fluoresces orange. Excellent and rare combination material from the famous mines at Naica.
