Item Description
A classic specimen of the fairly well known yet hard to find examples of Calcite pseudomorphing after Glauberite from Camp Verde. This piece shows excellent, remarkably distinct well formed crystals with a soft almost porcelain-esque exterior. The original habit of the thin Glauberite crystals is completely preserved in the off-white colored Calcite. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#100). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
