This locality has produced some iconic golden Calcites, though scarcely seen on the market. This piece features a sharp, lustrous, rich golden color scalenohedral crystal group of Calcite comprising a pronounced "cap" of Calcite sitting atop a prismatic golden crystal group. The could be described a a "nailhead" or a "pagoda" in form. A beautiful midwest Calcite specimen, and certainly worthwhile for any collector of the material or Calcites in general.
